It's September already! The kids go back to school even though we are in this pandemic. It will be the new normal for everyone. I hope to be back in my shop at the end of this month.
We sold my Mom's house. It sold in over a week. We couln't have done this without my kids help.
I'm currently working on a sweater coat for the Fall with Rowan's Brushed Fleece. Yarn I had in my stash. It will be nice and warm on these Fall cool days. I'm also trying to finish a bridal shawl for my son's bride. He will be getting married next month.
I love the Fall. It's my favourite season other then Spring. Lets hope we don't have a snowy Winter this year. I hate driving in the snow.
Well, until next month. Enjoy this time with your families and your kids.
Happy Knitting!

It's been a while since I wrote this blog. Since the Covid 19 pandemic, my yarn shop has been closed. Alot has happened this passed year. Where do i begin? I guess first of all I'm going through a separation. Who knew after 31 years of marriage. Yup my husband is now my exhusband.
Then my sister passed away which will be a year in September. She suffered a massive heart attack. My twin sister and I flew to Calgary for her funeral. The week we came back, my Mom suffered two strokes. She was put in the hospital. This was also last September. My Mom passed away in June. She was 93. Because of the pandemic, we were only allowed ten people at her funeral. So we had a graveside ceremony. It was a beautiful day. Mom was laid to rest in Union Cemetery beside my Dad and my other sister Margaret. So it's been a year.
Therefore I haven't opened my shop as my Twin and I are working on emptying my Mom's house to sell. Hopefully next week it will be on the market. We are selling as is, not putting any money into it. I'm sure it will sell fast because of the area and the size of the lot.
I'm hoping to be back at the shop as soon as the house sells. I'm looking forward to getting back to normal. The new normal.
During this pandemic, I have been knitting and crocheting many things, hopefully to sell in my shop.
Granny squares are back! Blankets, purses and shawls. I also have been knitting socks. Oh how I love knitting socks.
Until later I will hope to continue to write this blog, to keep everyone updated on my business.
Happy Knitting!

Hello everyone. It's been awhile since I last wrote my blog. I have been very busy with my LYS. Check out my blog on my Wool on William site. I have been keeping that blog updated.
I'm busy knitting my wedding outfit for my daughter's wedding in May. I'm very pleased with the outcome. It's looking beautiful.
Time is going so quickly. It's almost the end of February. Another month gone. Now we can focus on Spring! It's on it's way.
People will be picking out their cottons for the season, to knit or crochet a beautiful sweater for the cooler days.

Well, It has been awhile since my last post. Oops!! I have been very busy with my yarn shop. Business is booming at this time of year. Everyone is getting ready for Christmas. Knitting and Crocheting gifts. Swedish Weaving is very popular in Oshawa. This is something new to me. It's almost like embroidery, using different yarns. Beautiful work from the samples I've seen in my shop.
I'm busy knitting doll clothes for the American Dolls. I will display the outfits in the shop.
We are currently expanding. I'm excited to have more room to work with. I will have a library for my books and more room for my yarns, needles and notions.
Well , until next time. I will try not to be so tardy.
Bye,
Leslie
